Objective
Neumont University is a for-profit private college based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Neumont’s sole focus is con computer science. All of its students are working toward either a bachelors or masters degree in computer science. Neumont has an accelerated degree program—students get a four year degree in just 2 ½ years. And its graduates are some of the most sought after in the tech industry. More than 90% of its graduates have jobs within 90 days of graduating. And the average starting salary of its graduates is $60,000.
Strategy / Tactics
INK knew the best way to tell the story of Neumont’s graduate employment success rate was to focus on times when the media would already be interested in jobs-related stories. We focused our pitching efforts on the time in and around college graduation season in May, and also near the end of the year when media would be doing round-up and look ahead stories related to trends in employment and education in the future.
