Bob Cullinan, San Francisco
Cullinan has more than 25 years of media relations experience from the
agency, client and news media perspectives. Most recently, he worked as
an independent media relations consultant for a number of global client
accounts, securing them high-level print and broadcast media with outlets
such as Forbes, Business Week, New York Times, Wall
Street Journal, CNN, CNBC and CBS MarketWatch.
Prior to going out on his own, Cullinan was tapped by The Hoffman Agency
to help establish its broadcast media competency. As director of broadcast
media, he developed and implemented successful broadcast media outreach
campaigns for global agency accounts such as Hewlett-Packard, Cyrix, Meridian
Data and Synopsys; as well as, trained agency staff on the proper methods
and techniques to use to secure editorial broadcast coverage. He served
in similar roles on the client side for a number of national and global
corporations.
Cullinan started his career in the sports news business, where he spent
more than a dozen years working as a sports news anchor, reporter, producer
and director for television stations in Nebraska, Colorado and California.
During his tenure, he produced and hosted special sports programming events,
including: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Show, San Francisco Giants
Pre-Season Special, Big Sur Marathon Coverage and Inside the NFL with
Herman Edwards. He has also served as a play-by-play announcer for the
University of Nebraska Football broadcasts. Cullinan earned "Best
Sportscast" honors from both Associated Press and United Press International
and also worked as a freelance motor sports on-air talent for NBC, ESPN,
Prime Network and SpeedVision.
