Bill McAndrew, New York

McAndrew brings more than 25 years of media industry experience to INK. He is a 14-year veteran of NBC News where he began his career handling day-to-day publicity assignments for "Meet The Press", television's longest running program. In 1976, he was promoted to Press Representative for NBC Nightly News. Working closely with John Chancellor, David Brinkley, Tom Brokaw and the program staff, McAndrew distinguished himself within the division for his judgment and decision-making.

When NBC decided that "Today" needed ratings revitalization, McAndrew was one of those tapped to help. His assignment: all media representation. One of his innovations, still utilized, was to expand the visibility of the Today "family" members beyond the parameter of the show itself. By soliciting interviews and segments for Brokaw, Gumbel, Pauley, and even Willard Scott, they became even more familiar to audiences everywhere.

In 1984, McAndrew was promoted to the title of Manager, NBC News Information, where he was responsible for the all press activities for all NBC News programs, anchors and correspondents.
